The Armed Man

200 Young Voices from Worcestershire schools and colleges performed The Armed Man with the Orchestra Of The Swan to mark the centenary of the Great War. Neil Ferris, Chorus Director of the BBC Symphony Chorus, conducts the performance which will include the screening of international award-winning photographs from the major exhibition, ‘Fields of Battle – Lands of Peace 14/18’. The programme also includes Elgar’s iconic cello concerto, composed in 1919 during the aftermath of the First World War, which will be played by former BBC Young Musician Winner, Laura van der Heijden.

SFL were proud to be part of this special event at Worcester Cathedral for the ‘The Armed Man’, which consists of landscapes of the First World War. SFL Group provided projection (HDX) onto a 21′ screen. Plasmas down the sides of the naive for visual relay via cameras.  A Roland V800 was used for processing switching the relay screens between live camera and slides.
