Nada Loka
SFL deliver full HD multicam video shoot for South-Asian musical extravaganza at the Royal Albert Hall
Nada Loka was a South-Asian musical extravaganza, celebrating 25 years of Music for Meditation and Healing. For the first time ever, six of the world’s most renowned Indian musicians were performing on one of the most prestigious stages in the world.
It was the first time that Sri Ganapathy Sachidananda Swamiji had been to the Royal Albert Hall, so the event was particularly special to them.
The client wanted a multicam video shoot, with post production to make a Blu-ray and DVD for worldwide sales. In particular, they wanted the solution to capture both the sensitiveness of the event, but also the grandeur of the venue. They awarded the contract to SFL because of their previous experience of multicam shoots in the Royal Albert Hall, and their extensive knowledge of the venue.
SFL provided a nine camera full HD multicam video shoot. The solution included SFL’s own PPU based around a For-A HVS-300HS vision mixer and Sony HXC-100 camera channels in a variety of configurations (track/jib/dolly etc). SFL also provided an ENG camera rig to record pre and post event interviews.
SFL chose to record all the raw footage onto AJA Ki-Pro Prores HQ recorders to ensure high quality footage along with a quick editing workflow.
