DRACULA

Following successful runs at both Pleasance (Islington), the Edinburgh Fringe and Latitude Festival, Action to the Word were awarded a unique showcasing opportunity in a West End theatre, inviting key producers, venues and promoters, with the aim of booking an international/UK tour and London run.

Following a previously successful production in the same venue, SFL were able to provide a full audio package for an actor musician cast of 10, with a multitude of instruments moving about all over the stage. SFL also provided a staging and comms package. This rock-reworking of the much loved gothic horror drags us to hell and back, leaving us needing a blood transfusion at the door.

From a company renowned for their extreme physicality and gung-ho approach to theatre, Dracula brings together everything that Action have become known for – strength, beauty, talent and music. With a cast of power-house actor-musicians and a rip-roaring soundtrack, this show will leave you begging to be bitten. This production is incredibly indebted to an array of organisations, without whom the show simply could not have happened. Unlike the vast majority of showcases, Dracula couldn’t have been performed in half measures. Met with a standing ovation from a sell out house, Action to the Word are currently in talks with regards to the show’s future life and that is very much down to the support offered by companies like SFL. A wonderfully professional and yet personal service.
