After the inevitable cancellation of Spring Harvest 2020

Planning for Spring Harvest 2021 to take place as a socially distanced live event were well advanced until we entered a third national lockdown on 6th Jan 2021.

Therefore Essential Event Management turned to SFL to deliver ‘Spring Harvest Home’ live from SFL’s ‘Studio 14’ in Reading. Aiming to give the Spring Harvest experience, with quality teaching and worship, in a live and accessible format for a congregation to attend from home.

The portions of the event coming from Studio 14 was morning bible teaching and worship, with an evening celebration and after hours entertainment. All worship and music was live, with broadcast and monitor audio coming via a pair of Midas HD96, the first time SFL has deployed the HD96 on an event. Audio was multitrack recorded for a future live album.

The event was captured in Studio 14 using SFL’s Sony HXC broadcast camera channels and distributed to the event platform via resi streaming encoders.

Broadcast lighting from ETC and ARRI meant all contributors were well lit with consistent key lighting.

SFL built a custom designed set as backdrop for hosting, preaching and after hours. blah blah and a socially distanced worship stage with LED backdrop to provide a ‘window on the world’ demonstrating through content that worship can take place anywhere. With additional abstract content as eye candy in epic moments of worship.
