Little Welly Festival

Muddy Productions choose SFL as technical production supplier for the Little Welly Festival

The Little Welly Christmas Festival was a brand new family-friendly Christmas experience for 2013, created especially for children between the ages of 3-12. Organisers Muddy Productions selected SFL as the technical production supplier for the launch event, held at Wellington Country Park, Berkshire, from 21st-23rd December 2013.

The festival featured an ice rink, five ‘big top’ tents each with their own flavor of entertainment, and of course no Christmas festival would be complete without Santa’s Grotto – or indeed without old St. Nick himself!

Entertainment in the five ‘big tops’ included:

The Show Tent: featuring fun science demonstrations from CBBC’s Fran Scott, along with Jessie J & Katy Perry tribute acts.
The Skills Tent: football coaching, circus skills, drum workshops (held by drumming world record holder Ed Freitas) and dance lessons with local dance teacher Leanne McNulty.
The Activity Tent: a place to burn off a bit of energy; try penalty shootouts, the graffiti wall, giant inflatables and den building.
The Arts Tent: write letters to Santa, make decorations, or test your prowess at flying paper aeroplanes on the specially made runway.
Chill Out Tent: for tired kids and adults to watch classic cartoons or listen to the storyteller.
It was a fun, action-packed few days.

SFL were happy to be asked to support the event by Muddy Productions, assisting with the supply of audio, video and lighting as needed to create engaging and emotive environments in each of the big top venues, as well as managing power, generators, external lighting, audio and emergency lighting across the site.
