SFL worked along side Korean Culture Centre for their event Feel Korea.
It was celebrating their culture with music, artists, food etc at London Olympia to host an evening concert.
Sungho, SFL PM spent 2 months with the client on pre productions ensure the right solutions was offered for their event and all the elements came together.
The Video solution used our DigiLED 3.9mm LED for the central flown screen and our Desay 6.25mm indoor/Outdoor panels used to create the video backdrop on stage of 12.8m x 4.5m. There was also a flown 3.9mm Screen relay for live camera feeds through-out the show. Added to this were 3 columns each side 1m wide x 4.5m. This layout enabled clever video design to use the columns as separate elements to delivery a more impressive visuals than a single screen. A Barco E2 was used to drive the show, with a Barco EC50 controller provided to increase the simplicity and flexibly.
The main PA system included 8x V8/2x V12 per side, with a 20 strong V-Sub array. There was a delay set of Y hangs down the venue, which helped fill in the rear of the venue but also kept direct to reverberant sound at a maximum level. Fills included Y7Ps and V7Ps at the front and to the sides under the balcony.
Control was handled by dual SD12s: one at FOH and one at Monitors. As it was Korean Pop music (K-Pop), a lot of ways of RF were need: 32 ways of handhelds/belt packs, and 12 ways of IEM transmission, in a crowded RF environment in London – so a lot of co-ordination and planning was needed to ensure solid and clean links.
Noise levels were carefully monitored off and on-site to keep neighbours happy while also maintaining a full schedule – where the day would see everything from the latest K-Pop artist to traditional drumming and martial arts. Our engineers at FOH, System tech, Monitors and RF all kept the show running smoothly and supporting the guest engineers to help deliver a great show!
Lighting was made to wow the audience as the acts appeared for the event thought out the evening. Using over 60 movers including Robe Spiiders and Pointes with 60 Pars, hazers and follow spots.
With the last act finishing on stage, the exuberant crowd were further roused by an encore from all the main acts sporting ‘Feel Korea’ t-shirts as they came out on stage for a final hurrah! With inflated balls thrown around the crowd and confetti cannons shot from the bottom of the stage it created a beautiful end to the show.
