SFL supply video playback and projection for Independence Day at the Royal Albert Hall

The Royal Albert Hall’s series of live music to film events have proven hugely popular with audiences, with increasing numbers of such events being added to the hall’s calendar during the past few seasons. Independence Day Live recently premiered at The Royal Albert Hall and SFL provided playback control and large screen video projection.

Playing to a packed house, SFL provided a media playback system comprising of two Mac Pro servers running simultaneoulsy as live and backup. The newly remastered film was projected onto an 20m wide screen using three Barco HDX-W20 Flex pojectors in a live triple stack configuration. Signal distribution was managed using SFL’s new Lightware DVI Cat6 and fibre systems.

SFL have also recently provided the video solutions for the Jurassic Park & Aliens live films with orchestra. There are many more of these events in the 2017 calendar, more information can be found here on the Albert Hall’s website.
