SFL Provide Full Event Production to Cranleigh School.

Cranleigh School, based in the Surrey hills has just celebrated its 150th year in education. They hold the title of ‘The Surrey County School’ and with this they are leaders in secondary education and strive to provide an outstanding educational environment.

Cranleigh pride themselves on their Technical Theatre Department, lead by Mark Jenkins. They are responsible for providing full technical production for all the events that happen in and around the school, including their 450 capacity speech hall. SFL regularly provide support to the Technical Theatre department with audio packages to further support their own equipment stock to allow them to achieve the high standard they set.

When our engineers are on site, we are constantly helping the students develop their technical skills by talking them though our audio systems and helping them apply the techniques we use to their own kit.

In April 2016, Cranleigh hosted their inaugural Culture Summit. Hundreds of School heads, parents and pupils attended to take part in the education conference. SFL were asked to provide full technical production for this event, which included audio, video, lighting & set. It was imperative that this event looked the part and every detail was polished. SFL provided visualisations of parts of the design for approval for a custom solution.

The solution included a d&b Audiotechnik Y series speaker solution, 16ft rear projection screen, powered by Canon XEED projectors and a custom lectern.

This was the first time SFL have provided both equipment and staff to us and I was extremely impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail, as nothing was left to chance.  A crisp, slick and well-run event meant the school and our guests were suitably impressed and I am confident we will use their event production services again.
